Introduction to our new and potential clients:

We have learned that clients appreciate working with web designers who have a set process in place.  For those of you who've never commissioned a website before, this process explains exactly what SunDesigns will be doing and what's expected of you, the client. This is a form of security blanket. If  things start to go wrong, both parties can fall back on a good process.

Most new website builds usually follow a fairly similar pattern.

Discovery:
Where we find out about the job, the client, their customers and their marketplace.

Clarification:
Where we make sure everybody understands what they're doing and what is
      expected of them.

Planning:
Where we allocate resources and lay out how the project will develop.

Build:
The  actual process of creating / building the website.

Testing:
Where you make sure everything works to a sufficiently high standard.

Delivery:
Where we give the client the finished work.

And will require at least some of the following documents:
       Proposal - Project Plan - Technical Specs - Contract - Sign-off / Approval Forms
       Change Forms

The issue of insuring that you, the client, understand what you have to do is one of the most important for the smooth and steady development of a website. There have been occasional past projects where the client assumed that just because they are paying us to do the work; that all the  work will be done by us. What they don't realize is that they probably need to do just about as much work in defining the CONTENT of the site for us to work with.

The number of times the 'build' of a site has been held up because the client underestimated what it would take to get THEIR side of things together needs to be considered. A good project manager should be driving both sides of the process along and making sure that there are no bottlenecks.

We work with our clients to provide them with the website they want. You will decide colors and layout and complexity. We take pride in our designs and ability to communicate well throughout the design process. We encourage you to take all these factors into consideration when choosing who will build your website.

You've heard it before: Internet technology is changing how we market our products and services. What you may not have heard is an explanation of exactly what is changing and how that affects you and your business.

Traditional mass media marketing views the consumer as passively captive (watching a TV show or listening to music on the radio). As people learn to tune ads out, marketers increasingly use techniques consumers find annoying (for instance, louder ads, more ads per hour, etc.).

Now, on the Internet, the consumer is actively in the driver's seat. With the click of a mouse, consumers seek out what they want and avoid everything else. A new marketing approach is required.

     Traditional Marketing:
Reach as many people as possible, knowing that only a small percentage will actually
respond.

      Internet Marketing:

Target efforts toward reaching the right people--customers who are most likely to buy.

      Traditional Marketing:
Tell customers what the marketers want them to know.

      Internet Marketing:
Give customers the information they want to know.

      Traditional Marketing:
Influence people to do something they previously did not want to do.
                                                    (i.e., create a need for a product)
      Internet Marketing:
Help customers do what they want to do more quickly and easily than they could otherwise do.    (i.e., fulfill a need with a product)

In short, good marketing has become good customer service.

Successful web sites are designed with these new methods in mind. When we develop web sites, we begin by helping you identify what information prospective customers want to know about your products or services. We then create a site design that makes it as easy as possible for your visitors to get that information. Finally, we develop carefully selected dynamic elements to streamline how you and your customers interact. Optimizing the site's appeal to your target audience is our constant focus.

We are committed to practicing what we preach--our ultimate goal is good service to you and your customers.
