HEY!!!!Welcome to my webpage! My cousin Just made a webpage called My favorite sport basketball, and you really should check it out, but that's not what I'm here to talk about. If you looked at the title (you most likely did, of course) you could tell that this page is about Nintendo GameBoys. For the clueless, the Nintendo GameBoy is the most famous, celebrated handheld video game system ever made.Obviously, Nintendo is the company that makes GameBoys.Well, now that you know what they are, lets get started on the history of these handhelds. The first gameboy was simply called Nintendo GameBoy.It was wide, bulky, and the early models were gray.It was released in 1989, had black-and-white color and 8 bits. It's pixels were large and awkward. But, don't take me wrong, they were the best handhelds of thier time, but 1989 was a looong time ago,and as time goes on technology gets better to sell better, so it's a rarity to see a guy playing one of these. As I have said, 'as time goes on technology gets better to sell better' so this is the same with Nintendo.By 1992 Nintendo had came out with the GameBoy Pocket. They were small enough to fit in almost any size of pocket, so I don't think they ever came out with a carry case for them(I sure haven't seen one.)They played the same games as the origional GameBoy, so they also had the same amount of bits: 8.GameBoy pockets were a HUGE improvement on the first GameBoy, but Nintendo still made more handhelds! There next system, made in 1998, was the GameBoy Color and, obviously, it played special GameBoy Color games that, well, played in color! It was only slightly bigger than the GameBoy Pocket, and had a curvy shape ideal for comfortable gaming. It sounds good, huh? They even doubled the bits to 16 bits. But Nintendo still wanted to advance, which they eventually did in 2002, with the GameBoy Advance. It looked somewhat like a home console video game's controller, except it had it's screen in it's middle.I'm not very good at discribing things, but trust me, it was probably the most comfortable GameBoy system ever made.Besides Comfortability, it was much better than the GameBoy Color,it was the very first GameBoy system or any handheld video game system to have ... 32 BITS!!!Of course, it featured new game cartridges that were half as small as the last ones.Nintendo still made one last GameBoy system, in 2003, the GameBoy Advance SP.It is foldable, has a lit screen and plays all GameBoy games. It is, of course, 32-bit.But Nintendo didn't stop there.2004 is the year that thier most recent system came out. That is The Nintendo DS (Dual Screen). It has two screens, and the lower one is touch-sensitive, so you can play games with a stylus. It has wireless link connection installed into it as a standard feature. With this, you can not only play your DS with your friends, you can text-message them!Sounds great, huh?Even though it is a great Nintendo handheld system, it isn't really a GameBoy.The title 'Nintendo DS' doesn't have the word 'GameBoy' in it, so I don't consider it a GameBoy.Well, that's all I have to say about Nintendo GameBoys for now.I hope you enjoyed my webpage and be sure to visit my cousin's webpage.Bye!
